This thread is a place to post your election predictions in advance of the chaos that will sure to follow in the next few weeks. Everyone on the OT loves to make fun of people who are wrong for many, many years and this thread will simplify the process of bringing it up and throwing it back at your frenemies here on the OT.

Late Tues PM / Wed early AM Trump will declare himself the winner based on exit polling and early returns in precincts that haven't fully counted early and mail - in ballots fully
Late Friday - Mail in ballots will have been counted showing Pennsylvania going for Biden but Team Trump will challenge the results and make claims of massive mail in fraud being found in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio, Florida, etc
Friday/Sat - Biden will announce he has won the election
Court challenges and recounts will begin as Trump increases his rhetoric of fraud and the election being stolen. They will end up in the SC and the SC will rule against the GOPs effort to throw out ballots
EC meets on Dec 14th and elects Biden as the next POTUS
Trump will accelerate his fraud claims and attempt to incite his base to not accept the results of the election
I have no idea what Trump and his sycophant's will do at this point, I just know it's going to suck for the rest of us normal people to have to deal with all of the whining and crying
TL;DNR - Results are much closer than what current polls show, Trump appears to win on election night, but Biden wins after all votes and court challenges are complete

Because everyone is here for my predictions on this part, here you go:
If Trump wins, I think there will be an initial bump because the market is currently predicting Biden win (slightly). The issue isn't about who in the US is in charge, the bigger issue is what is going on around the world. The US can ignore COVID, but the rest of the world isn't going to and the next 4-6 months are going to truly suck for the worldwide economy.
If Biden wins, and the GOP holds the Senate, it's the best outcome for the market as that is what I believe they are predicting right now and it should be the most predictable from an economic policy perspective for the next couple years.
If there is a blue wave ( I DO NOT PREDICT THERE WILL BE ), the markets are going to freak out a bit and volatility will be king for awhile. There will be a MASSIVE stimulus bill passed that will bump up the markets for the near term, but the longer term outlook will still be tied to the worldwide economy and that's just not a pretty picture no matter who is POTUS.
TL;DNR - If you think the stock market is the place to put your money right now, you are crazy.
