Talked to both this afternoon. Smith is a legit prospect, a three-star kid who has offers from Creighton, OK State, Arkansas and others. He will visit Mizzou and Creighton next month.
Scoggins, to be honest, nobody really knew who he was before the tweet from his AAU team and his father that he was taking an official to Mizzou. I have to be honest here, we have some doubt whether this is an official visit for Scoggins. The kid told me this afternoon it was and the tweet from his AAU team indicated it was. So obviously we kind of have to go with that and I'm not in any way trying to make the kid look bad (I'm not in that business). But I'm just being honest in that what Brian and I have been able to gather, we aren't sure this is an official for Scoggins. If we get some clarity on that one way or another, we'll let you know.
