It appears there are approximately 70 open faculty positions for the Columbia campus as of this afternoon. Some have been unfilled for several years (e.g. from 2011/2012) and are presumably available for any qualified applicant. My guess is that we are having a hard time finding any interested applicants (and this problem goes back some years) - I don't believe anyone who is qualified in the respective discipline would be excluded from consideration.
