Can anyone explain why it is necessary for the USA Women's National soccer team to play a "friendly" on the grass at Busch Stadium after 3 days of rain a day before the Cardinal's season starts and a week before the home opener?
I guess it is better than 2 FCS schools playing football 2 weeks before the playoffs and literally wrecking the field in a monsoon, or 2 European teams tearing it up mid season in an exhibition. I just don't get it.
