Nothing revolutionary, and this is just overhearing someone I know who has connections
But the gist is that DRF was ready to let Drink go, but that the board (mainly Sundvold) pushed back and that's how we got Drink's extension. It was said that Drink has a spell on a lot of people in the AD and University who are convinced he's golden, but that DRF isn't impressed and was ready to move on. Also grumblings about the board sticking their nose into the Athletic Department.
Again nothing earth shattering but seems to line up with what we've heard about the extension not being a vote of confidence.
