I’m sorry, y’all. I truly did all I could on this one.
In light of a few of the various interview quotes regarding this decision, Lord knows that I’ll be having some candid conversations with some of the folks responsible for the misdirection here. It sucks knowing I spent so much time on the road back and forth from LSN to get real-time insights on that recruitment, only to have the rug pulled out from underneath me in the end. But it also sucks to have misled the members on this board, no matter how and why it may have happened. You all expect me to be right about these things and that’s a fair expectation. I got this one wrong.
Lesson learned here. Five-star recruitments will be handled more delicately in the future, no matter what circumstances surround the five-star recruit in question.
