Lots of posts and chatter about these two. It so happens I saw both of them play a lot of games in high school.
Both were not shooters. Both got to the rim. Yes, Watson played against inferior competition but he sometimes had three guys on him and still scored 30.
Pickett played the toughest schedules you could likely play in this area. He played against plenty of legit players.
I’m not a hoops guru by any means, but maybe it isn’t them but the system they are in. Maybe the offense they run doesn’t allow either one to do what they are good at?
I mean, Pinson just found his game because he knew,with Mark out, he was less likely to get pulled for making a mistake.
