Gotta say I am really pleasantly surprised by what I saw from this kid.
The fact that he is starting is a very good sign because I trust Cuonzo's judgement. Watson played ok for a first game but I thought Pickett looked both confident and in control. Based on some of the scouting reports that were coming in about him it sounded like he might be a bit of a volume shooter but he looked like an unselfish player to me last night.
This kid was an after thought in the recruiting cycle but it appears he's going to be a good one.
