Ok all of you punters out there, I must confess my ignorance in these matters. I’m watching the Chiefs versus the Falcons and there was a perfectly placed punt that bounced inside the five and pretty well stayed there. That would seem a very difficult task given the force to boot a ball that far and the shape of the ball. This backed up like a good chip shot onto the green. How much of this is a skill you can hone in versus dumb luck? If it is a skill why can’t more people do it and do it more consistently? Thanks.
