The more I read and study...Jeff Brohm has done a great job at Purdue and really has things going with that once dormant program.

He worked miracles there in his first season winning 7 games when their pre-season over/under win prediction last year was a mere 2 1/2 wins.

This athletic article is really good and shows that fans are excited in West Lafayette: https://theathletic.com/381722/2018/06/19/jeff-brohm-impact-purdue-trick-plays-family/

They have a sprawling, 10-month-old, $65 million football performance complex and most preseason magazines have the Boilermakers picked 3rd in the Big-10 West Division behind only Wisconsin and Iowa.

They return almost everybody on offense...but lost some key players on defense and most of their question marks are on that side of the ball.

Most services have them ranked nationally in the high 30's or low 40's.

Casual fans don't realize what a tough opponent they will be because of the name of the school and their lack of recent success prior to Brohm's arrival.

The more I think about it...this game is a huge key and will set the tone for our season...and a win at their place will be a big challenge and a much bigger feat than most realize.
