Question about whether to start sports or not...

So if you are in the leadership of MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, NCAAFB, etc. what do you do if you don't complete your season due to covid 19 and no vaccine is developed by early 2021? Some reports say people are actually getting the virus more than one time. Take MLB, if they close down mid-August how do you sell starting next spring without a vaccine? It seems these groups are risking a lot for the long term health of their sport. It seems to me they need to have their season, learn how to operate safely in a covid-19 environment or risk a multiple year shut down.
