1. Letting them hang
You can probably guess what "them" is.
The opening kickoff is an onside kick recovered by Mizzou, but it was offsides, so it had to re-kick. I applaud the moxy.
2. Speed dial
When Mizzou receiver Marquis “Speedy” Johnson is on the field just know that there's a bomb coming through the air. Brady Cook over two safeties to Johnson for a 76-yard touchdown.
3. Coming out HOT!
A great defensive stand and then a two-play 90-yard drive that culminated in a 76-yard drive. Mizzou starting off HOT!
If Mizzou can start off this hot all the time this is a dangerous team.
I like how aggressive Eli Drinkwitz has been early on.
4. A Cody Schrader fumble leads to Memphis points.
Schrader had his first career fumble inside his own 25-yard line. Missouri allowed a fourth-down touchdown. It feels like Mizzou is winning this game, but it's down 10-7. Missouri has made a lot of mistakes.
That’s Schrader’s first of his career.
5. Absences
I haven’t seen Ennis Rakestraw or Mookie Cooper. With his helmet in hand, Rakestraw is on the sidelines, but I haven’t seen him on the field. The same goes for Cooper. I could have missed a play, but I’m pretty sure.
