Connor Wood has been filling in at RT for Powell****
Third series for the defense: Ty’Ron Hopper with a TFL to get off the field. Lovett fields the punt not Burden and isn’t coming out with offense for first play after punt.
Fourth series for the offense: Nice run by Mookie Cooper brought back a little by illegal contact but still a first down. Kibet with another nice solid pitch and catch for 14 yards. QB option to Schrader for a nine-yard rush. MIZ just needs to get punched in the mouth a little bit to wake up. MIZ 7, AUB 14
Burden may have a leg cramp or something leg related. He’s walking on the sideline trying to stretch something it out it seems.
Fourth series for the defense: Defensive line has been playing much much better today. 4 TFLs and two are from DL (Josh Landry and Williams).
Burden was back deep to field a punt before a timeout was called by AUB.
AUB went for it after the timeout and they converted. They are 3 of 3 on fourth down.
Isaiah McGuire with a massive strip sack but AUB recovered. It’s 4th and 18 and AUB will punt. Defense coming to life.
Fifth series for the offense: Cook to Lovett for 40 yards. “Safety Blanket Dom.” A nice pass to Mookie. I mean the Mizzou offense is moving it along and also coming to life. @GabeD noted on Twitter a lot of 21 personnel (2 RBs and 1 TE) sets and a lot of four wide receiver sets. Listen to PowerMizzou Live because we said they should do that (cheap and shameless plug).
Cook with a QB sneak from the one and it’s tied. MIZ 14, AUB 14.
Look at them doing QB Sneaks instead of that predictable HB dive out of the pistol that never works.
Fifth series for the defense: Nice catch by AUB player. Bad offsides penalty by McGuire but nonetheless Carlson missed. Tied going into halftime.
Stats: MIZ with 6 TFLs for 24 yards and two sacks. They’ve had two sacks combined in weeks two and three and five combined TFLs the last two games prior to today.
