1. Dominic Lovett scores

Well, one of the storylines not too many people wanted to get into was former Mizzou receiver Dom Lovett being on the other side. He just took a screen pass six yards for a touchdown to help UGA retake the lead.

2. Third and fourth downs

As of 13:38 left in the second quarter, UGA is 4-of-6 on third down and 1-of-1 on fourth down.

Drink said earlier this week third downs and red zone play would determine this game.

3. Theo Wease with a nice contested catch, but don't abandon the run.

Hell of a catch by Theo Wease on second and nine of the second drive for a gain of 33 yards. It was under review but the call stood. Mizzou is winning these contested catches when it's on offense. However, I don't think Mizzou should get greedy with the jump balls.

Right after that completion to Wease, Cook threw a pass behind Burden in the middle of the field and threw another type of fade route on second down. The Tigers ran on third and 10 and got nothing. Don't abandon the run and don't wait until third and 10 to try and run the ball.

4. Defense is playing well

A quick three-and-out was forced by Mizzou's defense. It allowed wide receiver Ladd McConkey to get an 18-yard reception on the first play but then finished the drive with nothing. Safety Tre'Vez Johnson had a nice tackle for loss to set up a third and 12.

Georgia has 10 points, but I think Mizzou's defense has played well.

5. Start of third drive with a false start.

Never want to start at first and 15 but Mizzou will after Xavier Delgado's false start.

6. Another false start.

Left tackle Javon Foster gets a false start. So, that's two. It's incredibly loud here, but this can't become a problem.

7. Big-time Brett Norfleet block on key third down

On third and two on the UGA 39 yard-line, tight end Brett Norfleet motioned in and put a big block on the defensive end and Schrader picked up the first down.

Mizzou would later finish the drive with a 37-yard field goal. Mizzou is driving the ball pretty well. You want seven, of course, but Mizzou is playing well.

That was an 11-play, 61-yard drive that took 5:35.

8. Another quick three-and-out forced by Mizzou

First, Abrams-Draine got away with a pass interference during the drive but besides that this defense played a great drive. Well, he didn't get called for PI, so it was a great drive. Darius Robinson put a lick on Carson Beck on third down. The pass fell incomplete.

Mizzou is winning the trenches.

8. Bad clock management by Mizzou to end the half

So, Mizzou got the ball with 45 seconds left in the half and then it ran the ball and got tackled in bounds. Instead of calling a timeout, Mizzou burned 20 seconds to not really do anything and was forced to punt a couple of plays later.

The worst drive of the half for Missouri.
