1. Luther Burden gets a rushing touchdown

From three yards out Luther Burden gets his second touchdown of the season. I’m noticing he’s doing a lot of jet sweeps and end-around. He lined up at running back on one play and did a C route. It was overturned by an illegal procedure penalty on Marcus Carroll, but Mizzou has used Burden in a lot of different roles. However, I think the Tigers should use him more out of the slot and let him do his job from there. Get some out routes and quick slants going. They don’t have to do reverses every possession to get him the ball.

BUF 0, MIZ 10

2. The defense is playing well and the offense is capitalizing.

As of the 10:07 mark of the second quarter, Mizzou is still allowing less than two yards per play on the season.

Buffalo is also 1-of-5 on third downs and 0-of-1 on fourth down conversions. The Bulls have 43 total yards.

Corey Flagg is one of the better pickups for the Tigers this offseason. He’s everywhere.

After forcing a quick three-and-out, Mizzou scored on its second offensive drive of the game. Brady Cook led a nine-play, 69-yard touchdown drive where he capped the drive off with a rushing touchdown from three yards out.

BUF 0, MIZ 17

Cook is 13-of-17 for 117 yards. He’s played well. A couple of his misses were a bit off-target. He's still finding his groove but that's just nitpicking. He's having a good game.

3. Theo Wease having a sneaky good game.

As of the two-minute warning in the first half, Theo Wease has 10 receptions for 105 yards on 11 targets. He had a 39-yard reception on the penultimate Mizzou offensive drive of the half that led to Cook's touchdown a few plays later.

His best game of his career came in Week 4 last year versus Vandy. He had 10 receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.

4. Brady Cook with a great run for a touchdown.

Cook scored on a 31-yard touchdown that saw him high step to evade the shoestring tackle and get a great block by running back Nate Noel for the touchdown. It was a great run, but the block on Noel at the goal line allowed Cook to leap in and cross the goal line.

BUF 0, MIZ 24

Blake Craig misses a field goal to end the half from 52 yards out. So, he has a make from 51 yards and misses from 49 yards and 52 yards.

End of 2nd: BUF 0, MIZ 24
