1. Tyler Stephens drops

He has three drops with 13:46 left in the third quarter. Norfleet already has a nine-yard TD reception. He should get more playing time, especially in these receiving situations.

2. Harrison Mevis blocked

Missouri walked LSU down to start the first drive of the second half, but Harrison Mevis had a 44-yard field goal blocked.

That was his first miss since the 61-yarder, but those types of plays are so dangerous. It's pretty much a turnover. So, if you add Cook's interception LSU is unofficially winning the turnover battle 2-0. It's really 1-0, but you get the point.

Fortunately for Mizzou, it got that field goal before the half.

3. Things unraveling?

So, a missed field goal, then allowed a field goal, then punted and then a 42-yard post route to the nation's top touchdown scorer Brian Thomas for his ninth receiving touchdown of the season. Play action has opened up. It was something I said earlier that Missouri would need to watch out for if LSU can get the run game going and it certainly has.

With six minutes left in the third quarter, LSU has rushed the ball 29 times for 173 yards (six yards per carry) and a touchdown.

4. Last season, this team probably wouldn't have rebounded as well.

Usually, when a team got it rolling on Mizzou it felt like it wouldn't be able to stop the avalanche. It rebounded with a six-play, 75-yard touchdown drive capped off by a one-yard touchdown from Cody Schrader.

There's still a lot of game left, but it has shown a lot more resilience.

5. Johnny Walker ejected

The ref's mic was hot and we heard Johnny Walker got ejected for his second personal conduct penalty for spitting on another player. His first conduct penalty was for kicking or stepping on someone.

You've got to be better than that.
