Seventh series for the defense: The first play of the second half is a tackle for loss by Mizzou. I mean, this defense has been nothing short of awesome. Johnny Walker almost gets an interception and then he gets a nice tackle on the following play. The Coyotes QB with a nice 12-yard completion on third down for the first down but on the next play they got stuffed.

Mizzou's run defense has shown up today. Although, it did give up a fourth and one with a four-yard gain.

Out routes and hitches near the sidelines are the only thing keeping the Coyotes in the game.

The Tigers allow another fourth down and one conversion.

I see Burks out there at free safety.

Rakestraw made an acrobatic pass deflection.

On fourth and seven, Burks comes in like a missile on a free safety blitz.

Seventh series for the offense: It's Horn's time now. The snap hit the pulling guard and but Horn was able to recover and get a five or six-yard gain. Then, on the next play a strike to Miller across the middle for a gain of 31 yards. He hit Wease for a first down but Wease was out of bounds. So, Horn finishes the drive 1-of-2 for 31 yards.

Mevis missed again from 35 yards out. So, he's missed two field goals and an extra point, but the extra point was nullified by a penalty. But still, that's three missed kicks.

Eighth series for the defense: I mean there's nothing South Dakota can do.

Eighth series for the offense: Peat for a gain of eight to close the third quarter.

End of the 3rd quarter: SD 3, MIZ 28
