Handful of us talked to him for about half an hour. I will transcribe it all tonight. Cliff's notes:
They're making about 2000 calls a week reaching out for ticket sales. On football currently at 82% of their revenue goal. Over 21000 season tickets sold plus 2400 student tickets (that number has doubled since last June)
Athletics reported a record fundraising of 50.4 million this year
49 mil of a total 95-97 mil price tag has been raised for South end zone. Hopes to get it in front of Curators next month, not set in stone. Anticipates breaking ground right after the season
I asked him to define progress for football. He said six wins and a bowl would be progress though the he football team would be disappointed if it only wins six
He has had discussions with Josh Whitman (so?) the Illinois AD about resuming the football series in st Louis. No discussions with anyone at ku since he took the job.
The home game against Boston College on 2024 will be played in KC
That's the pertinent stuff. Will have the rest later tonight
