This is about the most positive signing day I can remember for Mizzou. Not necessarily the class as a whole, but the actual signing day. In the past it's been a successful day if they just held on to the guys they had. Today there were six announcements we thought could possibly go Mizzou's way and four of them did. That's a heck of a hit rate late.

I do think perception is a key here, though. If Missouri had all these guys committed three weeks ago and signed them, people would like the class. Because they got seven commits in the last three days and have a lot of momentum, people love it. I'm not saying that's bad or criticizing the class, just think it's interesting.

I'll have a full in depth ten thoughts piece tomorrow and we'll continue to have some post-signing day things over the next couple of days. Mostly wanted to use this post to thank @mitchell4d and @Sean_Williams publicly. I've had plenty of good people work for me over the years, but I've never felt any more comfortable or confident with the staff we have here. Sean works his ass off all year on recruiting and he stays on top of everything on that front. That lets Mitchell and I focus on the teams and more big picture stuff most of the time and step in and steal all his glory for things like National Signing Day. I say all the time you guys pay here so you aren't surprised on signing day. While there were some pleasant surprises, nothing that happened caught you guys off guard too much. So kudos to Mitchell and Sean for going above and beyond in their jobs and hopefully you all enjoyed the coverage this week.

In closing, don't ask us about the 2020 kids. At least not till after New Year's.
