I've got a TV show to tape this morning. Sean is going to do his best to talk to Ennis. Mitch and I will have reaction from the coaches later today. But just want to say this is the biggest signing day win in a LONG time. The ones that jump to mind are Terry Beckner and DGB and while those were probably bigger, they were in-state or close kids. This is a Texas kid with committable offers from Texas and Alabama. That doesn't happen. Those kids don't choose Missouri. Pretty much ever.
As of Sunday night, the feeling was Texas. That came from someone that talked to the kid. Last night, the tide started seeming to shift to Bama. So one of two things is true:
1) The kid truly hadn't made up his mind and Missouri's staff did an amazing sales job to sway him in the last 24-72 hours
2) He did an amazing job of misleading everyone to maintain the suspense around his announcement.
Either way, this is gigantic for Eli Drinkwitz and staff. I can't really overstate it. Missouri doesn't win these battles. But it just did.
