Meant to put this in here yesterday, but forgot. Anyway, Justin Hoover has been Drew Lock's private QB coach for the past six years. I interviewed him yesterday for the story I wrote on Lock's recent ball security struggles. (If you haven't read that yet, you should.) Very sharp dude. After I finished asking him questions, he offered an interesting quote that I wanted to share.
"I think this team needs to see some support. I feel like, and you gotta think, you go on the road to South Carolina, you go to Alabama and you see those two stadiums and the way that they embrace their teams, it’s probably time that — all these Missouri fans that wanted to be in the SEC. Here you are, living it every day, you better buy your damn tickets. That’s probably, as a Missouri fan, not just a Drew Lock fan, that’s the most frustrating. We all want to just sit behind our phone and just say things as Missouri fans, but yet we’re not showing up to watch the game and support our team."
Thoughts?
