Here are some of my random thoughts on the game:
1) For those of you thinking MPJ would play you obviously have not been around sports much and definitely have not coached. No coach in their right mind would let a player play in a game after having back surgery, being off for almost 3 months, and having only had one practice.
2) Kentucky played well tonight and shot the ball extremely well. They are definitely playing a lot better.
3) Tilmon had another bad and inconsistent game. He more than any player I can remember frustrates me with his inconsistent play.
4) Our defense has regressed and we have trouble with athletic teams. The Arkansas game will be tough to win especially the way we are playing.
5) The officiating was pretty inconsistent again. We got very few calls, but they are pretty consistently bad all the time so I am getting used to it. Just to clarify they did not cost us the game. We didn’t play well enough to win this game.
6) Jontay and Tilman have to give us more scoring inside. They didn’t score much at all inside tonight.
7) Barnett has to take the ball to the whole more. He is pretty much a 3 point shooter and he is one of the most athletic players on our team, but he spends 95% of the time outside.
