As we head into the spring and summer I start looking for books to read while on the road or out at the beach. This last year Gary Barnett was on The Border Patrol and strongly recommended a book called The Captain Class by Sam Walker. In the book Walker makes a case that the greatest teams in sport are a factor of having the best captains... and then he delves into examples and case studies. It is a leadership book, focusing on sports as the model. Once you get past the first section of statistics and laying out his case, it is a fun and enjoyable read.
