I saw this clip in the preseason, so it's old news. But--seriously--what about the fan base/media of this team lends itself to talking this way at all? Arkansas has NEVER won the SEC. It has 1 more SECCG appearance than Mizzou (and one of those times they went because Bama was ineligible). It has beaten Mizzou ONCE in seven years (christ, Odom was undefeated against Arkansas, 4 of his 13 SEC wins). They have twelve 8-win-or-more seasons since 1990 (Mizzou has 11). Since 1990, they have finished in the top 10 once (Mizzou has done it twice). They are SEC carpetbaggers, too. They aren't a blue blood. Any fan 45 or younger can't remember any prolonged success.
No self-respecting Mizzou fan would talk this way about ANY SEC team, even Arkansas. I mean MAYBE Vandy. I know most of us have PTSD. I just wish I knew why there was so much unbridled confidence without any semblance of realism to have such a feeling of superiority.
