It is always nice to see a good person reach the mountaintop, especially after years of trying to get there. From everything I have ever read, Andy Reid is an exceptional human being. I hope the below link works as it leads to a story that appeared in the KC Star in November of 2018. A good portion of the story talks about Andy Reid's relationship with Doug Hembrough, an offensive lineman and team captain at Mizzou when Reid was the offensive line coach under Stull. Doug was an outstanding person. He went to the same high school as me (Springfield Griffin, now SHG) and our families had known each other for years as my older brother and one of Doug's older brothers played together from JFL through high school and my younger sister was a cheerleader for the teams Doug played at Griffin. When Doug played at Mizzou his family would tailgate with my folks. After every home game, Doug would always stop by our tailgate and was always upbeat and willing to talk with everyone, despite the fact he hated to lose (and the Mizzou teams of that era suffered many disapointments) Doug passed away way in 2005 from brain cancer, leaving behind a wife and several young children. He was only 35. Coach Reid kept in contact with Doug during his illness and spoke with Doug shortly before Doug passed away. And in the years after Doug's passing, Coach Reid still regularly checked in with Doug's family to see how they were doing. As a Mizzou fan, we should all be happy for Coach Reid as he went above and beyond to care for one of our own, regardless of what our home town may be. Just my thought.
