Alexander Pickard, Director of Marching Mizzou in the 60s, 70s and early 80s passed away this past week after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer.
I was so fortunate to be a member of M2 from 1971-75 and am so grateful this man was a part of my life. A true leader, a phenomenal educator and a great friend to everyone and anyone that ever marched for him.
This was in the Missourian this morning...so fitting. RIP Dr. Pickard.
