-Pingeton said she's been really excited about their offseason and blessed with who they've been able to add to the roster. The freshmen are mature beyond their years, international players who've played at a high level and grad transfers with a lot of experience. Called it the best offseason she's had in a long time, said the team lived in the gym. They've got more depth and more height with this year's group. They've set the standard very high for themselves.

-Pingeton said Grace Slaughter is going to be a really exciting player. She's got Team USA experience and can stretch the floor. She grew up a Mizzou fan and committed early on. Said Slaughter is someone you can continue to build your program around.

-On recruiting in-state vs. out-of-state, Pingeton said home-grown players are important to her. Said it creates an opportunity to get to know the players much more than on the court. She believes if you can keep the best players home and build around that, you put yourself in a good position.

-Pingeton said she doesn't feel any added pressure this year. Said she wants to set an example for her players of taking things one day at a time. Said the only pressure she's feeling is making sure her players are the best versions of themselves.

-Pingeton said she's loved watching the growth of Hayley Frank going into her fifth year, she's developed into one of the best shooters in the SEC. Also appreciates all the intangibles that she brings to the team. Said she never makes it about herself, it's always team-first.

-Pingeton said Ashley Judd has learned to play with more pace, become more consistent at the 3-point line and learned a lot after her first year of SEC play.

-On bringing in freshmen from overseas, Pingeton really likes that their experiences are different from players in the States. Said it's a little harder to establish a relationship with them because of time changes and the difficulties of getting them on campus. But she's had success with Mama Dembele and thinks Hilke Feldrappe and Lucija Milkovic can complement the team.
