Ryan Kreklow what was his deal?

I watched him play today at MSU. He was a walk on at MSU (now on scholarship) and now is their best 3 point shooter at 45%. He is also their best on the ball defender. Very gritty player. Would be MU's best shooter

Why was he ranked so low out of high school? Did MU not offer a walk on to him?
