A few days ago I was told by a coach from St. Pius (KCMO) that star DE recruit Jayshawn Ross was just offered by Tenn. He said Tenn discussed/"offered" a $2.5 million NIL deal for him. Ross is only beginning to start his junior year. It seems too early to be talking about NIL right now with two years of HS to play (and 18 Level 1 infractions pending). This coach certainly knows what's going on at Pius and I trust him. He wasn't in the discussions or recruiting of Ross. To date the following have offered Ross: ND, Mich, USC, Penn St., Ore, Iowa, Mizzou and a few others. I'll see the coach again in a week or two and will try to collect more info. I will be sure to share Tenny's NCAA issues with him.
