He’s been absent after talking with Jake Tapper after this debacle started. They’ve sent out underlings to do all briefings, much like Hiden Biden.

McCain complained about getting Blinken near the state department because he was fixed on a date certain pullout.

This mirrors Biden arguing angrily against both Secretary Gates and Clinton on the surge in Afghanistan, wanting to leave Afghanistan immediately. Obama did not take his advice.

So Biden who has had numerous whacky ideas about foreign affairs ran on ending all troops in Afghanistan.. It would appear that Blinken was quite anxious to encourage Biden to make this reckless move.

It has been reported that the military warned him of the dangers of triggering a very rapid collapse.

VP Harris bragged of Biden sticking with his decision and hailed him as a brilliant decision maker after the meeting that set in motion this cluster fvck.

She boasted on CNN, shortly after the president ordered troops withdrawn in April, that she was the last one in the room before Biden made his decision, and felt comfortable with the plan.

“The decision always rests with him,” she added, “but I have seen him over and over again make decisions based exactly on what he believes is right.”

So it seems Blinken and Biden, chaffing from not being allowed to pull out on a date certain were joined by Harris, a total lightweight, but a lefty lib who certainly would be in favor of a hasty not well thought out unconditional withdrawal. . It seems obvious there were opposing voices from the military as to the haste and weakness of the “plan”. It has bit the trio hard in the ass along with the country. Look for Blinken to be run over.
