The shooter wasn't engage between shooting his grandma and entering the school. A teacher props open a door during a lockdown. The shooter kills kids and with injured kids bleeding to death after a failed attempt to engage. The police wait 45 minutes while kids likely bleed to death.
Because of all of this many politicians jump on banning a gun we have no specific death tolls for but its included in 200 annual rifle deaths with many of those being suicides, hunting accidents and other unrelated deaths. Meanwhile thousands die in individual cities per year which only increased with the most extreme left taking over prosecutor offices and being softer on crime and running off police.
Meanwhile we're threatening China and Russia with War with an open border. Those in charge have no interest in peace, justice, preventing crime or American interests.
