I am usually a pessimist when it comes to our team, but I am just not understanding this one. Vandy is 0-6 in the SEC. They’ve been beat by an average margin of 26 points per game. At home they’ve been beaten by an average of 37.7 points per game. Granted two of those games were Alabama and Georgia, but they also just lost to Kentucky by 23 at home. They’re actually better on the road, losing by an average of 14.3 points per game. But that includes a 14 point loss to Florida where they gave up 38 points….to Florida!!
Vandy’s defense is historically awful in conference, giving up over 46 points per game. Three of their opponents (Florida, Ole Miss and Kentucky) have had their highest point total of the year against the Commodores. The fewest points they’ve given up in conference is 34 to SC. And Mizzou is the best offense they will have seen all year.
They very well could move the ball pretty well against our defense. But if that does happen this game will look a lot like their 57-35 loss to Ole Miss. I just don’t see any chance they hold us under 45.
Again, I’m usually pessimistic about our team I do not see how this is supposed to basically be a 1 score game. I don’t see this being a close game at all. Bet it all on Mizzou.
