But about Sophie... She had 10 points (2nd most on her team), 4 of 6 shooting and she hit two 3's... She also had 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 fouls... Sophie's always gonna be Sophie, right?
The Mercury mostly played their rookies in the 4th quarter and to no one's surprise, Sophie took the lead... She hit the two buckets that gave Phoenix the lead and was key down the stretch to help them hold on for the win.
Game wasn't broadcast or televised anywhere as far as I can tell, neither is their next preseason game against Seattle on Wednesday... But the regular season opener will be on ABC on Sat., May 25 (that's 2 weeks from yesterday)... And here's a pic of Sophie coming out of the game after a great defensive play she made put the game away.....
