So happy for this young man…
When he was at Mizzou, my son’s team played in a tournament in CoMo. I worked with Tanner’s grandma for years and she told me call him and see if he wanted to come watch a game.
He came to our games on Saturday and sat in the dugout and gave the boys advice on their pitching…. Basically by the end of the day, he was like part of the team. He stayed for three games!!!
After the game, he took all of the boys and parents on a tour of the new locker room and the stadium. He even joined us back at the hotel for pizza … he could not have been more gracious.
The boys on that team are now 20 years old… when the announcement was made today that he was an all star, my phone lit up with multiple texts from those boys!!
Congrats to a wonderful human being and somebody all Mizzou Tiger fans can be proud of!!! Keep it up Tanner!!
