My son graduated from TCU so we watched Big 12 title game today vs Baylor. Ahead 4-3, two outs in bottom of ninth, nobody on. Sky-high fly to center gets knocked down by the wind. Ball somehow drops in front of diving center fielder. Next batter hits routine fly ball the right fielder loses in the sun. Tie game.

TCU takes lead in the 11th, guns out tying run at the plate for the second out but walks next two to force in tying run. Pitcher falls behind next guy 3-0 before giving up single on full count.

Coach deserves some of the blame for totally mismanaging bullpen in the seventh and eighth innings, forcing him to go to akid who had pitched in 10 games all season and had an ERA over 8.

My son says that with a 10-13 conference record and an RPI in the 50s TCU won’t get in. I told that I thought only Mizzou lost games like that.

The kid who lost the ball in the sun hit two bombs, inc a two-run shot that put them up in the eighth.
