As a consumer, I can say that the only times I go to "newspaper" coverage over a niche source (not sure if that's the right term) are when there aren't suitable sources that cover the sport/team more in-depth than the Newspaper. The Cardinals coverage that Derrick Goold provides is really the only instance that I can think of off hand.
