Later Janet Yellen while lying about the administration's overspending in March 21, their approach to oil and gas, admitted she was wrong about inflation being transient. So obviously she was set up to take some heat off Biden as well
The rest of his plan was warmed over build back better bs and tax hikes and green energy spending that will simply increase deficit and fuel inflation.
They likely think it's quite possible we are in a 2nd quarter of negative GDP meaning we are in a recession, and are posturing to put heat on the Fed while inflation remaims high and economy and jobs slow badly.
