FOOTBALL RECRUITING

***It's been a bit quiet on the recruiting front since we've entered another dead period and the coaching staff is in the midst of fall camp, so consider this a bit of a refresher in terms of top remaining targets, targets that will likely take visits during the fall, and targets Missouri will continue to evaluate during the fall.

The Tigers will likely take approximately four more high school prospects before the end of the season and then reassess where they are at. Obviously, more targets could pop up throughout the fall as the coaching staff will continue to evaluate prospects through film and in-person as well.

Wide receiver:

Luther Burden - committed to Oklahoma but has visited Missouri multiple times throughout the spring and summer. If he wants to flip to Missouri it's a no-brainer they'll make room.

Kevin Coleman - seems to have warmed up to Missouri after a June visit

Offensive line:

Deone Walker - visited Missouri in June and put the Tigers in his Top 5 in July along with Michigan, Georgia, Arizona State, and Kentucky. Also picked up an official offer from Alabama recently.

Jackson Pruitt - Walker's teammate at Cass Tech (Mich.), visited Missouri twice during the summer in June and July. Tennessee, Kansas, Tulsa, and Liberty are other schools involved.

Jack Struebing - visited Missouri in June, also took an official visit to UCF

Defensive Line:

Domonique Orange - moved up Mizzou's board after a July workout with the staff, will likely return for an official visit this fall

DJ Wesolak - Missouri would take him, but it doesn't appear he wants to stay close to home.

Joshua White - looking to take fall officials to Missouri, Ole Miss, Memphis, and Nebraska.

J'Mari Monette - picked up a Mizzou offer on August 1st and is looking to visit during the fall. He visited Mississippi State in July and worked out for their staff. He also took summer visits to Baylor, Tulane, and Arkansas State.

Isaiah Hastings - just released his Top 8 that included Missouri. Has been talking to the staff for over a month. He is originally from Toronto and recently visited Miami and Michigan during the recent live period.

Tai Leonard - has had an offer from Mizzou since the spring, communication has picked up with DL coach Jethro Franklin. Planning a visit in the fall. SMU, Memphis, and Washington State are also in communication.

Linebacker:

Devin Smith - looking to visit Missouri in the fall.

Kyle Efford - currently committed to Georgia Tech, but is keeping his options open. Wants to take an official to Missouri in the fall.

Duncan Parham - took a visit to Missouri in July. He's one the coaching staff will continue to monitor throughout his senior season.

Defensive Back:

Gentry Williams - visited Missouri twice during the summer. Has close family ties with Missouri DB's coach Aaron Fletcher. Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Florida, and Arkansas are the other contenders.

Quantaves "Gumbo" Gaskins - worked out for Missouri's staff in June and picked up an offer, was supposed to return to CoMo in July but cancelled. Seems to be leaning toward Vanderbilt, although he currently remains uncommitted.

Jeffrey Ugo - committed to Utah during the summer, but still wants to explore all of his options which includes Missouri

Pierre Goree, Jr. - committed to SMU, but tweeted out an official offer from Missouri. Has other notable offers from Tennessee, Purdue, Indiana, Washington State, and others.

Elijah Davis - has an official offer from Missouri, wants to take an official visit during the fall. Indiana, South Florida, and Georgia State are other programs showing interest.

***Rivals.com released its initial Rivals250 rankings for the 2023 class earlier this week and Missouri has already made a bit of a splash with a few targets on that list.

The obvious ones being in-state OL products Cayden Green and Logan Reichert along with East St. Louis product Miles McVay - all three visited multiple times throughout the spring and summer.

Other in-state targets to watch include Brett Norfleet (multiple times this spring and summer), Christian Gray, and Marvin Burks - all have been on campus as well.

Missouri has also hosted David Hicks (No. 3), Kadyn Proctor (No. 5), Charles Jagusah (No. 227), and Semaj Morgan (No. 238) this summer.
