COMMIT WATCH:

- All eyes are seemingly on Pike (Ind.) defensive end Kyran Montgomery as he recently told The Athletic that a commitment could come in the middle of this month. Here we are, and while we haven't heard anything directly from Montgomery or anyone in his camp, Missouri has positioned themselves well for the four-star prospect. The Tigers' main competition appears to be Florida State and Minnesota seems to be a distant third among his top three.

It would obviously be a huge recruiting win for Missouri if Montgomery does end up choosing the Tigers. That would give Mizzou three, four-star commitments in the 2021 recruiting class with two (Daylan Carnell) of them being from the Indianapolis area. Even if Missouri wins the sweepstakes, we don't think Florida State will pump the brakes with their recruiting efforts on Montgomery.

- Another DL target to keep an eye on is Telfair Co. (Ga.) product Patrick Tukes, who Chad Simmons dropped a FutureCast in Mizzou's favor last night. The three-star prospect has been trending in the Tigers' direction since he hinted at a possible commitment a couple of weeks ago. We'd expect a decision to happen at any time.

- Other defensive line targets that are expected to announce their college decisions in the near future are Arden Walker, who recently told us that he's aiming for the end of September for a decision timeframe. Carrollton (Ga.) product Khristian Zachary told Rivals.com southeast analyst Chad Simmons earlier this week that October 15th will be the date he'll announce his future destination.

- East St. Louis wide receiver Dominic Lovett is another top priority Missouri target on the offensive side of the ball who is slated to make his announcement on September 11th. The four-star prospect talked with Rivals.com midwest analyst Josh Helmholdt and although he says he remains open - Arizona State, Penn State, and Missouri appear to be the main contenders.

As Mitchell Forde mentioned earlier this week in the Perfect Class 7.0, if Missouri can land Lovett they will likely be good with making him the only wide receiver signee in the class.
