If the information that Chris Mills is no longer with the program is accurate (I assume it is, but will have to wait until people wake up to get confirmation), here is Missouri's cornerbacks group right now:
Ish Burdine
Ennis Rakestraw
Davion Sistrunk
Kris Abrams-Draine
Daylan Carnell
Zxaequan Reeves
Darius Jackson
Rakestraw played in all ten games, made 24 tackles and broke up six passes
Burdine played in eight games, made 9 tackles and broke up three passes
Abrams-Draine moved from receiver. I feel like he played in a game or two at corner, but didn't accumulate any stats
The other four are freshmen.
Obviously, Missouri needs to find a corner in the transfer portal unless a bare minimum of Abrams-Draine and one of the freshmen are ready to be day one contributors. Jaylon Carlies came to Mizzou as a corner, but has moved to safety. It's possible he could move back, but the coaches absolutely love him playing safety and I'd be surprised to see them take him out of there.
Mizzou has two to four spots left it can use for the coming season. I'd expect at least one, and more likely two, of them to be used at corner if they can find the right guy. Obviously there are two Tulsa transfers, who played for Aaron Fletcher last year, on the market. There will be stiff competition for both. Beyond that, we'll try to get some insight into which players Missouri could be looking at.
