Look, it's really early. I mean, it's really, really early. One could make an outstanding case that Mizzou has thus far played the college basketball equivalents of Keith Richards at an AA meeting.

But it's been a long time since I've watched a Missouri team move AND defend the ball against anyone...including fellow rummies in previous seasons...like this team is.

Long and short: Missouri is doing to bad teams what good teams are supposed to do to bad teams. Does this equate to some ipso-facto wizardry that necessarily ends with our Tigers being good this year? Of course not.

Does it mean anything? Who knows? But I know that, thus far, this is an infinitely more pleasant viewing experience than what we saw, stylistically, from virtually the entire tenure of the last staff. And definitely the one that preceded it.

Summation: watching this group (admittedly, not from beginning to end of each game) performing the hardwood equivalent of pistol-whipping a blind kid the past couple of outings is the most fun I've had watching Missouri basketball in some time. It's been cathartic. It's been downright pleasant.

And that's good, kids.
