To date I am not surprised at the people who have earned their numbers
Lovett- Fr
Early on we were told that Dominick Lovett route running and speed were elite and that he would be an elite offensive piece. I have been interested to see his use as more outside receiver at this early juncture.. Maybe an early decision to ensure they are able to use he and Mookie or Knox together
Cooper- Transfer
Mookie has elite speed In a straight line on flies and posts. He will seemingly be utilized in the jet sweep and reverse game from the slot almost like a Z-back is utilized in youth foitball
George- Transfer
Realus has been getting after it in the trenches. He has transitioned from a FB to DL quickly and adapted well in this scheme early on as is evident in his success during the trench competition he excelled in last week
Robledo-Transfer
Robledo looked well in the trench competition as well taking on lead blockers and shedding them to take down the runner. He has looked the part that I read about him prior to his commitment. I think he and Realus will figure into the DL & DE rotations early in the season
Carnell - Fr
I will limit my analysis on him due to my personal affinity. I am biased toward this player.. I will say he is one of the first 3 to earn his number, first on defense, as a newcomer and the second Fr. Three Int in 5 practices during team. In my opinion the way Mookie got open 1 on 1 against him says more about Mookie's speed and explosive ability. Cooper will be a difference maker in this league as long as he is cleared to play!
I thought the early look at the team showed these transfers and early entry Fr will be at minimum pushing the returning players to up their games on the field... Refer to Chism's big play ability shining and Cook showing that he is not to be overlooked
I would be interested to see and here what you guys think about the above and the early number earners. Please respond and let me know what you think.
