Perhaps Mizzou has it's next stud safety in Joshuah Bledsoe...the Coaches are sure high on him.
Before anyone poo-poos the fact that he didn't do much last year...here is what William Moore did his first three seasons at Mizzou and how he progressed:
2004- redshirted
2005- made two starts (one because starter was suspended)
2006- made only four starts
2007- First-Team All-American. I think there is hope that Bledsoe can eventually be a stud.
COACHES:
“For a young guy he really understands every spot,” Odom said in the spring. “There’s not too much we’ve thrown at him that he hasn’t been able to grasp. His football IQ is pretty high. Also he likes to play ball. He’s soaking it up, taking care of himself but also putting himself in position for us as a staff to know we’re a lot better when he’s on the field. He’s done a really good job.
“He’s very natural at safety,” defensive coordinator and secondary coach Ryan Walters added. “Physically he’s exactly what you’re looking for in this conference at that spot.”
