You hear all the time about a former lover that got away and usually in the context of what would that person’s life had been like if she/he didn’t get away. Sometimes it is the play not made on the athletic field or the game not won, think Mr. Destiny.
As Mizzou fans if you could name one loss in basketball and one loss in football that would have changed the entire trajectory of our athletic department if we had won, what would they be? Mine are:
1). For basketball we beat Tyus Edney and UCLA back in 1995 I believe. Where would we stand today if we had won that one?
2). For football I am going back in the vault to 1960 against KU. I know we later won due to forfeiture, but if we win that straight up I believe we would have been national champs. How would the trajectory of the football program have changed?
