This game and the last 3 provide a lot of optimism. Every reason to think that KU is as good as their ranking states, top 5 anyway. Going into that environment. So you sit 7-3 with 3 games before conference. You should go 2-1.
Maybe 3-0. Illinois is good, but they are top 25 good, and not anything more. They are a level below Illinois and you play them on a neutral court.

18 conference games, with only one, at Kentucky where you will be a heavy underdog. Go 10-8 (Lose one at home, find 3 wins on the road) and you sit right on the bubble with a little work to do.

Gates know what he is doing and more talent on the way.

How many teams go into AFH and do better than an 8 point loss? A handful at most, less than 10.
