I should not be surprised, but in the days and weeks leading up to the game, things became about crap like "texas" and oklahoma people wanting be beat "texas"...and texas players wanting to "beat texas" ...... Add to that bs the "we are now really good or even elite" crowd and you lose games due to arrogance, lack of focus, and the other team getting pissed off and fired up. It was not about becoming better at football.
I like Odom, but this behavior is on him. He started it when asked about his oklahoma people wanting to beat "texas" which opened the damn door......his players finished it with his captains acting like ridiculous arrogant teenagers at the banquet answering lob ball questions in EXACTLY the way the media wanted.
Be professional. Be business like. Motivate and go crazy and be immature behind closed doors. Say the right thing in public. Show serious respect always to any and all opponents. All of them. Even texas. And then play like hell and beat them.
