It obviously sucks that Baker is leaving, but it happens. There is a silver lining though.
If we have a good year next year, there was a strong chance that we'd have lost both coordinators in the same offseason. There is absolutely nothing ideal about that.
With Baker leaving now, we go onto next season with a DC that should be here for at least a couple years. That should provide some stability if we're having to replace Kirby.
With the number that we were going to pay Baker, all but the very top handful of DCs across the country should be in play.
