"These things I noticed" -MJH
Positives
Jordan Barnett, he's just good. I'd love to see him attack the rim more but he's a talent. Jordan Geist, the kid hustles, has a high basketball IQ, and attacks the rim. Kevin Puryear, he's a guy who is being asked to be more than he can be but he works hard. I enjoyed seeing him hit a 3 but I wish he'd stick to his post game. Phillips, he's a guy who by the time he is a senior will be 38 years old and have a boatload of experience, I hope he's stlll a Tiger for that. I still love his game he just needs to get back to the pass first player that he was recruited to be. CVL, he didn't play much and I enjoyed that. Let's hope it's a trend. I don't hate the playa, I hate the game.
What I expected.
KJ with 11 points on 4-11 shooting. He isn't a good enough shooter to be more efficient, but when used properly he gets to the bucket and the line.
What I didn't like.
Frankie Hughes, he looked like somebody is sick back home and he will be headed back to help out the family. I wish that wasn't the case. I love the kid, and these loses seem to be beating the him up mentally. Remember when Keyon Dooling broke down on the bench against Colorado? I was worried he too would transfer but luckily for Mizzou he stuck around. I miss that type of talent.
Players I'm worried about.
Mitchell Smith, I just hope he's ok. Watch the kids high school tape, he's good. He needs to add weight but ask Malik Monk if Mitchell is a player.
Players I admire.
Reed Nikko, the kid is a walking injury and he's powering through it. PM was really hard on the kid before he ever got here, and he's showing he didn't deserve the hate. Woods, he's not Steve Moore but he's trying to be. Moore was pretty useful by his senior year. Woods isn't as good but it's not for a lack of biceps. Jakoby Kemp his hair game is on point.
Sad but Funny.
Kim Anderson wired up. Kim just doesn't come across as anything but a man defeated. Unfortunately it's been that way for 3 years.
