No disrespect to Malik Cuellar, but this is the Maty Mauk story. Starting QBs make bigger headlines than reserve offensive linemen.

First of all, yeah, there are rumors out there and yeah I've heard some of them. But unless we can find actual evidence of any of those rumors, we don't speculate on disciplinary suspensions. We have been consistent about that.

Now, what's it mean? I think it's pretty simple: I think the change has been made. If Maty was playing really well and this happened, it's one thing. He's playing poorly and this happened. I think the move is made and barring injury or jut flat out awfulness, I don't see them turning back. This is now Drew Lock's team moving forward. Pinkel is pretty big on decision making both on and off the field by his quarterbacks. Seems to me may was lacking in both of those here in the last few weeks apparently.

The Drew Lock era begins on Saturday. Not the way any of us thought it would, but the time is now and we'll see what the kid's got.

PS--I'd anticipate Missouri going pretty hard after a QB in the 2016 class because I think it's only a sure bet that one is back this offseason after recent developments.

UPDATE: Source tells me Maty Mauk has not been arrested (and certainly checking records as much as I've been able to would seem to back that up).
