I know this is off topic, but I thought I would share some joy around here.
Pensacola is home to the Blue Angels, and we are blessed to see them practice every week, and smoke the beach when they return home from shows. This week the Thunderbirds have joined with them to practice for a still unannounced "Tour of America." Essentially, the combined teams are going to do flybys over the cities from DC to NYC, focusing on the hospitals, as a way of paying tribute to the healthcare workers. That is supposed to start tomorrow (but may get pushed back due to weather). From there they will split up with the Blues taking the Mid-West and South East, and the Birds heading out west... meeting up again in Texas for "stops" in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and DFW.
The last few days the teams have been practicing over Pensacola and our surrounding areas... it has been fun to watch (and the sounds of the jets coming in low never gets old)...
